Land and Water Forum

In October 2011 the Land and Water Forum restarted its work on water management, with a new office and a greater number of people working on the project. We felt that it was time to redevelop our very basic website and to create a recognisable logo for the Forum.

Expert took our creative brief and very quickly turned it into a logo that has received widespread approval from our members and stakeholders.

The logo incorporates concepts of the relationship between water and land (depicted through hill and river shapes and the use of colour) and the collaborative process of the Forum (depicted through a motif of interwoven strands). It draws on colours and design elements from earlier Forum publications, but is entirely new, fresh and bold.

Victoria University of Wellington Law Students Society (VUWLSS)

In the voluntary student membership (VSM) environment, organisations like the Victoria University of Wellington Law Students’ Society can no longer rest on their laurels to recruit and engage members. We need ways to innovate. This means finding ways to better communicate our value to potential members, keep track of who are members are, and making it easier for them to interact with us.

The MoST website content management system fulfils both of these aims. The automation that it offers through subscription management means that it is easy for our members to join and even easier for us to keep track of our membership. With the introduction of VSM, this is more important than ever – membership now matters.

Additionally the simple web content editing means that we can have a dynamic and engaging website that effectively displays and communicates our message and events to our membership base. The ease of use means that upkeep is not difficult and makes the website a centralised and effective method of engaging member’s interest.

Finally, use of MoST creates value for us as an organisation through providing additional resources for members. Online event registration has been huge for us – it has eliminated the paper-chase system that we previously operated. Additionally, we now have a range of measurable data about the events that our members are attending. The existence of this data means that we can better tweak our events to what our member’s want, and provide more value for them in doing so. The various engagement tools such as the discussion forums represent unique ways to get the most out of our organisation and extract value for all.

Since we started using MoST, we haven’t looked back. We would have struggled to survive in the VSM environment without it.

Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ)

At HRINZ, we have been able to keep staff levels at a realistic level by making smart use of a great Enterprise Management Solution (EMS) technology called MoST. MoST allows us to manage our membership in a most cost effective manner and ensure human contact is kept for important face to face situations as they arise in our dealings with our 4,000 plus members. We are aware of an overseas similar sized sister organisation to ours in our sector with a very similar population and membership base who employ upwards of 40 employees to carry out the same work as our 10 staff do. Our potential wage and salary saving is huge and this can be reinvested into our membership benefits where it belongs.

QEII National Trust

I first used this site when I was applying for employment at QEII National Trust in September 2011.

I found the website very welcoming. It is well set out and uncluttered. I liked the colours used and also the use of photographs made it attractive.

The site is logical and easy to navigate. It is also very comprehensive, there is a lot of information on the site and it is easy to access. I found everything I needed to know about the organisation quickly and easily on the website. It made me feel a connection to the organisation and made me want to work here.

Kiwi2Space

I was hunting around for a new website template to try and snazz up the original website to make it appeal to more people and to up the ante of our efforts. Working with the team at Expert, they put together the most amazing website package with such efficiency, and clear communication.

As a result they helped get us out on a world stage, show-casing our efforts of what we are trying to achieve. This opened a lot more doors to us that were not previously available before all this. Now we have had an over whelming interest in our projects, with emails from people as far away as Brazil, and lots of interest internally within NZ.

Not only have visitors been learning about our rockets, but also space in general, which in itself is not a huge topic in NZ, and we have Expert to thanks for this, they have really helped us to open the heavens and prove that "The sky is no longer the limit!"

INFINZ

"The move to our new website came from a desire to modernize to a very functional, dynamic, modern, informative website that looks polished and highly professional. This process was made very easy by the expert developments team. Our expectations were met without the INFINZ team having to become IT/website savvy, due mainly to the process employed by expert; they knew the decisions we had to make.
