Marist St Pats is a volunteer based, community focused rugby club with 11 senior and over 20 junior teams as well as a complete club for St Pat's College of Wellington. The previous website was built in 2000 in dreamweaver, and content had been continuously uploaded ever since. Thus, the club required an Information Architecture redesign and for their site to be more user friendly and simpler to navigate, with a site map integrated in alignment with the clubs online objectives. Navigation is broken into the club, and its grades, each having their own sections on respective divisions, news and events (feeding onto their landing page), as well as image galleries, and results pages. Through this, a large scale, yet easily navigable site was achieved.

The move to a simpler, more user friendly and accessible Content Management System such as MoST lead to a more accessible website, with the ability to have multiple administrators for the various sections, with varying permissions given.

With a printed newsletter already in significant circulation, the move to our e-zine package has enabled a wider, more cost-effective communication to members and other parties interested in the club and its activities. With no additional cost per e-zine sent, this has proven to be both a simpler way to communicate, and a far more cost-effective method to further enhance the community feel of Marist St Pats Rugby. With e-zine templates set up for both the general club, and the school, each part of the club has been able to have its own individual communicaiton stream for its members.

As imagery is an important aspect of the community interaction that any top rugby club delivers, the use of image galleries was essential. With site administrators able to upload images into the multiple galleries that exist within the Marist St Pats site, this community interaction has been captured through high quality images. For each rugby grade banner, there are different images in place, of players within that grade, again bringing the site and club closer to its members.

In moving further into the online realm, the club also sought to make member registrations submittable online through the development of a complete online registration form using the MoST Enterprise Management Membership subscription package. The flow on effect of this option resulted in significant reductions in administration requirements for the clubs volunteer administrators and ease of application to prospective members.
